A powerful earthquake struck western Nepal on November 3, 2023, resulting in hundreds of deaths and leaving hundreds more injured and displaced. The earthquake led to subsequent landslides, creating barriers to search and rescue efforts and causing massive damage to community infrastructure. Search and rescue efforts have now been concluded, and humanitarian aid is now the primary focus. The following organizations are providing aid to impacted communities in the form of emergency supplies and medical services. Please note that the organizations included in this Fund are subject to change as we learn more about needs on the ground.

The Antiracism Fund includes organizations that support efforts to advance antiracism through research, education, policy, advocacy and community outreach. The W.H.O. has declared COVID-19 a pandemic and public health emergency of international concern. Bright Funds has established The 2020 Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund, comprised of pre-vetted nonprofits based in the United States providing emergency response around the world and in the US. Through a single donation to the Fund, you can support multiple organizations' initiatives to provide short-term and long-term response and recovery. Given the ever-changing nature of this pandemic and widespread impact, the composition of the nonprofits in this Fund will evolve. Generally this fund will support healthcare, medical needs, vulnerable populations, nutrition/food support at both the local and international level.

The situation in Lebanon is not just devastating; it's an unprecedented-scale crisis. In the last few days, 700 lives have been tragically lost, and over 3,000 civilians have been injured, some in critical condition. Thousands of families are fleeing their homes in panic and are now seeking shelter in crowded schools as more Israeli airstrikes tear through neighborhoods today. After almost a year of gradual escalation, more than 116,000 people in Lebanon have been displaced and are in desperate need of aid. Global Fund's appeal is to raise an initial $100 thousand to expand our efforts to provide vital aid to displaced families. With Israeli attacks on Gaza also continuing unabated, Global Fund continues to call for an immediate ceasefire across the region and for all parties to respect international law, a crucial step in protecting civilians.Support our Lebanon emergency appeal and help us continue to save lives. Last week, Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida as a Category 4 storm and has caused devastating destruction across the southeastern US. Our hearts and thoughts are with those affected by this disaster including our associates, their families and friends and our customers and communities. This fund has been setup to support our people and communities, by donating to the established non profits who are on the ground supporting relief efforts. Williams-Sonoma, Inc. will match associate donations to this fund so for every dollar you donate, WSI will match that dollar donation. Donations will be directed to three organizations: American Red Cross, World Central Kitchen and Community Foundation of Western North Carolina.
